Real Estate Books

The Millionaire Real Estate Agent

Gary Keller’s great book has a couple of essential chapters that demonstrate the numbers game in generating leads and using techniques such as direct mail. The later chapters on building a team are fine if you get to that point, but the first few chapters are going to be essential to everyone in real estate!

General Business Books

A Complaint Is a Gift

This book is essential for anyone who works with customers, and that includes real estate agents working with buyers, sellers, and other agents. It demonstrates why people complain, and what you should do if you receive feedback or criticism. It can also help you educate your sellers on how they can handle showing feedback. One of my all time favorites!

Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion

A business essential… this book covers the art of persuasion, and you’ll be amazed when you find out the many opportunities you’ll have to influence someone. It’s not just for negotiating – it applies to working with other agents, buyers, and sellers, and even to managing your pricing and marketing.

Real Estate Websites

Hobbs/Herder

A real estate marketing firm (they can sell you a web site or brochure design), they have great articles and examples of how to use direct mail postcards and personal brochures to increase sales. Don’t miss the PowerKard tips!
