If you’ve put the items on the previous pages on your to do list, great! You’re off to a good start. But one final task, each day while your home is on the market, is to set the stage for home buyers.
- Lights On, Drapes And Blinds Open
- Bright lighting exposes your home and allows buyers to see everything -Â when you expect buyers, you should turn on every light and open every window blind.
- Pleasant Smells
- Put some vanilla in the oven, spray a bit of citrus air freshener, bake bread before you leave… these neutral smells will help eliminate any cooking odors.
- Clean Up Again!
- Take a minute to clean off the bath and kitchen counter, put away dishes, pick up clothing and toys
- Leave … and Relax
- Buyers will be nervous and have a hard time envisioning themselves in your home if you are still there. Go to the park, or into the back yard, and give them some space to think. Their agent will know what to show them, so don’t worry.
